Nicki Minaj is the Queen of Halloween. However, every year, tasteless trick-or-treaters dress up in a host of offensive costumes. From blackface and cultural reappropriation to the mocking of recently deceased icons. Accordingly, for the current rap royalty this year, someone took it too far. According to VH1, Nicki Minaj was not pleased to see an Instagram user dressed up as Bill Cosby with a limp man in drag pretending to be one of the alleged rape victims.

 Our generation is so desensitized

Nicki's response to this terrible costume, and incredibly insensitive mocking of rape victims was, "Our generation is so desensitized." The iconic rapper may have a point. After comedian Hannibal Burress exposed the world to Bill Cosby's rape allegations, many women came forward to tell the world that they, too, had been sexually assaulted by the former sitcom star.

According to Vulture, nearly 60 women have claimed to be assaulted by Cosby. The allegations started in 2002, and have continued as recently as Oct. 23, 2015!

The issue of Cosby's alleged crimes is sensitive within the black community, where the actor/comedian was formerly seen as a moral compass and role model. Playing a respectable doctor on television, earning an actual doctorate in reality... Cosby seemed like a pretty stand-up guy and a pillar in the community that African Americans could point to as a success story. However, this message has been adulterated as news of allegations continue to surface.

Regarding the incident, VH1 wrote, "How can anyone with a conscious or heart find something like this amusing? Over 50 women are accusing Cosby of sexually assaulting them. Nothing about this is a laughing matter. It's extremely scary that our generation is so numb to other people's pain and sorrow. "
