Rapper Jay Z and singer/ Civil Rights activist Harry Belafonte have been feuding for over a year at this point and it seems like the "Banana Boat" singer is finally ready to put an end to this beef. In an interview with MSNBC, HBF extended the olive branch to HOV and Beyonce.

"I would hope with all my heart that Jay Z would not take personally what was said because it was not said about him personally," Belafonte said, in the middle of a discussion about the Dream Defenders and Florida's Stand Your Ground law. "I would like to take this opportunity to say to Jay Z and to Beyonce, I'm wide open. My heart is filled with nothing but the hope of the promise that we could sit and have a one on one and let's understand each other rather than trying to answer these questions and answer these nuances in a public place."

For those who might not remember, Belafonte kicked off this fight by calling out Jay-Z and Beyonce as black superstars who had "turned their back on social responsibility" by not using their time in the spotlight to uplift the Arfican-American community.
