Alesso may have just released his debut album Forever in May, but the Swedish producer, DJ is already gearing up to release a slew of new songs, videos and art throughout 2016. As part of a "Less Is More" concept that has been his Twitter bio for years, the "Cool" DJ is setting out on a new mission in 2016 that will see him continuously release new music throughout the year, while also scaling back his touring schedule. He also announced his inclusion as a headliner for Sweden's Summerburst Festival.

The concept will also include more music videos and art as part of the continuous stream of Alesso throughout the year. There will be less shows, but each one will be bigger and more impactful - or so that is the goal. Alesso and his team will put more into each show to try and make each experience bigger and better for that market.

"I wanted to limit the amount of appearances I made worldwide in 2016 in order to really focus on the experience, and make it really special. I have a lot of amazing venues lined up. The EP's will also allow me to capture a period of time or an influence from a particular place and sound then encapsulate it in one piece of work and later move easily into a new phase," says Alesso in a statement about the Less Is More concept. "I'm 24 and this year is all about experimenting and pushing myself more than ever, both with my music and my shows. And of course, it's perfect for me that Sweden is the first announcement."

He is also the first headliner announced for Sweden's biggest electronic music festival, Summerburst, which will take place in Gothenburg on May 28 and again in Stockholm on June 11.
