South African synth-pop artist St. Lucia is gearing up for one of the biggest winters of his life. He has announced his new album Matter will be released in January, 2016 and will be heading out on tour across North America right after. To go along with these big pieces of news, he also unveiled the music video for "Dancing On Glass."
Following his 2013 album When The Night, Brooklyn-based Jean-Philip Grobler has been busy releasing the odd remix every couple months and touring, but recently he has been working hard on the new album. It is available to pre-order now online, though a firm release date has not been set.
Fans who pre-order the Matter will get a pre-sale code which they can use to access special tickets for the upcoming tour.
In addition to the tour and the album pre-sale, he also unveiled the music video for the LP's lead single "Dancing On Glass." The video is as fun and quirky as the song itself with a doctor trying to cure people with their obsessions ranging from spray tanning to working out and St. Lucia itself.
St. Lucia's tour will kick off on Jan. 30 at Webster Hall, before heading out across the country for shows in Chicago, Boston, Toronto, Denver, Vancouver, Los Angeles and ending Santa Ana on March 11. He will be supported by Tigertown and Grace Mitchell at select stops along the way. Check out the dates with ticket links for each show.
