If Childish Gambino seemed unhappy in his new music video for "Sweatpants," you don't even know half the story. Even though the music video just dropped today (April 14), alongside a new blogpost from the rapper (a.k.a., Donald Glover), he's unhappy with the rollout. And now, it seems as though he wants out of his recording contract.

Shortly after the release of the official "Sweatpants" visual and the first The Deep Web Tour blogpost, Gambino went to his official Twitter account to rant about how unhappy he was with his label, Glassnote Records, and begged for someone to buy him out of his contract.

"so this sweatpants video and blog was important to us. And it wasnt handled correctly," Gambino wrote in a series of tweets, which hinted at a lot of shady behavior and betrayal at his label. "we were told a lot of things were gonna happen and they were all lies. so im done. Someone buy me out of this contract."

Gambino then seemed to dangle the fruit of his lucrative career in Twitter's face, claiming that he could feasibly go wherever he pleased - as long as he wasn't stuck at Glassnote.

"a lot of people came around after our first week sales. all those people are welcome now. def jam, atlantic, whatever. i dont like record companies. But im not having another project go through this," he wrote.

From Gambino's point of view, he's not as worthy of record company attention because he's not "loud, or outrageous, or a white girl with a big ass," but he claimed he's honest and only wants to surround himself with like-minded people.

According to him, Glassnote had nothing to say about their rollout of the video, despite his unhappiness.

What, exactly, Gambino had planned for his own release of "Sweatpants" and his blog series is unclear, but the post titled simple "Week 1 Of 3" contains a lot of impressive visual elements used through scrolling through the webpage.

Because The Internet, Gambino's latest album that contains "Sweatpants" is his second studio album done with Glassnote. Before the release of 2011's Camp, Gambino worked strictly as a self-released rapper.
