Zayn Malik is ready for his spotlight. Earlier this year, the 22-year-old singer left the platform that launched him to stardom, One Direction, and now he's on the cover of Fader. While the full article will not be released in full until later on Tuesday (Nov. 16), a snippet new single "Befour" has finally been teased.

Fader is teasing Malik's cover feature with a new video. In the clip, Malik talks about the influences of his new record and rides around the woods (shirtless) on a motorcycle.

"Life experiences have just been influences for the album, just stuff that I've been through, especially in the last five years with the band and everything. It's quite a personal album" Malik said, also revealing that the record was recorded in the woods in order to make it as musically honest and genuine as possible.

Musically, Malik said that the actual music was inspired by all of his influences growing up, from Bollywood to '90s R&B from his father.

More exciting for fans of Malik, other than a description of what his solo album may sound like, is a taste of the music itself. Underneath Malik's monologue, the backing track for his first solo single "Befour" plays underneath. There's a bit of heavy guitar right at the front, rolling drums (bringing in that Bollywood feel) and a sense of Bleachers' '80s and early '90s influence. Though it's just the music, "Befour" already sounds pretty sexy.

Malik left One Direction in March after four years in the band. Further information regarding his solo album has yet to be revealed, though more information will surely come out when his Fader interview goes live at 6 p.m.
