Actress Vivica A. Fox is no stranger to dealing with drama, so it's no wonder FOX called on her to guest star in the hit hip-hop drama, Empire. She's been making headlines lately regarding her social media beef with her ex, 50 Cent. In a recent interview with People, Fox opens up about her role in the series and explains why she doesn't regret anything she said about 50 Cent, including the gay rumors. All's fair in love and war, right?

Starting tonight (Wednesday, Nov. 18), Fox will be featured in a two-episode run on Empire as Cookie Lyon's older sister, Candace. The show's co-creator, Lee Daniels, wrote the character specifically for the 51-year-old actress after being inspired by an episode of Celebrity Apprentice featuring Fox in a dramatic boardroom squabble.

The sisters ultimately end up clashing, but the reason behind their differences will surprise fans, according to People. Fox says her character is the complete opposite of Taraji P. Henson's, describing Candace as "bougie" and living a really different life than her little sister.

Both Fox and Henson were thrilled to work together on a project. After knowing each other in the business for so long, it was bound to happen. The Kill Bill actress believes Henson's mega-success was well "earned" and deserved, while Henson admitted working with someone she's admired for so long is "mind-blowing."

Not everyone is excited about Fox's new role on Empire. On Sunday (Nov.9) during an episode of Watch What Happens Live, all hell broke loose after Fox alluded her ex-boyfriend 50 Cent might be gay. What sparked her response? In October, the rapper made an Instagram post about Empire's ratings declining in the second season due to all the "gay stuff."

"I voiced my opinion, but I'm the kind of person where if you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything," Fox told People. "I was just really, really sick and tired of hearing the B.S. about Empire and especially about the gay storyline."

Fox referenced an XXL cover he was featured on with fellow rapper, Soulja Boy, stating the way the two rappers were posed looked a little suspicious. Once 50 Cent heard her comments, a war began, filled with harsh language and rude images. Despite the intense word brawl between them, Fox says she wouldn't change a thing.

"And I'm not going to take it back, because Lee Daniels, Taraji and Terrence Howard are very good friends of mine, and they are my costars," Fox told People. "And I'm a stand-up kind of babe, so I stood up for them and I don't regret it whatsoever."

You can catch Vivica A. Fox on Nov. 18 and Nov. 25 on Empire at 9 p.m. EST. In June 2016, she will reprise her role in Independence Day: Resurgence alongside Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman.
