David Bowie just shared a crazy 10-minute music video off his upcoming self-titled album  (pronounced Black Star), via Palladia.  This new video release for the "Black Star" track is sure to have you talking.

The video is quite the journey of the bizarre as viewers are taken aback by the woman with a tail, the cult-like followers shaking erratically behind Bowie's mummified eyes and a dead astronaut, whose decorated skull is treated like a sacred object - and that's just in the first two minutes.

Of course, Bowie is no stranger to the bizarre and creepy as he's played numerous characters throughout his career, with his most mainstream persona being that of the 19080s.  In a weird way this new release is a refreshingly uncomfortable video to watch, as the "Ziggy Stardust" artist pushes the boundaries of art once again.

The song itself matches the disturbing tone of the video. Heavily layered vocals chant overtop minor string and key parts that sludge along to the starkly different drum part, which is up-tempo and driving. Squeaky horn parts make for a jarring dissonance on the end of the song, leaving listeners with an unsettling aftertaste.

Bowie's music video ends on a similarly disjointed note, as religious zealots continue to fawn over the astronaut's skull and crucified human scarecrows shake uncontrollably.

Bowie hired director John Renk, who has worked on several episodes of Breaking Bad, to create this dark, twisted music video, serving as the first single for the artist's latest album.

The song is being used as the title music for the new TV series The Last Panthers, which uses a clip from the song in its expended trailer. Before this music video release, the series trailer was the only place to get a glimpse of the tune.

Blackstar is set for a January 8 release, so fans can start the new year off with some ominous, existential feelings.
