As previously reported, Coldplay has a new album coming out this spring called Ghost Stories. They've already dropped the singles "Midnight" and "Magic," and shared two other tracks, "Always in My Head" and "Another's Arms," at SXSW's iTunes Festival. Now they've announced their first string of dates in support of the new effort.
According to Billboard, the British alt-rockers will play six "intimate" shows (the largest venue on the trek has a 5,000 capacity) throughout Germany, France, Japan, the UK and the US. Their current itinerary starts April 25 at E-Werk in Cologne then moves to New York City, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo and London.
This will be their first proper tour since their 80-date Mylo Xyloto tour ended in December 2012. Ghost Stories, the band's sixth studio album, is due out May 19 via Parlophone Records.
