Skrillex and Diplo made an appearance yesterday at the American Music Awards in Los Angeles because their collaboration with Justin Bieber "Where Are Ü Now" was nominated for best collaboration of the year. It ended up winning the award over other tracks like "Uptown Funk!" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars, "See You Again" or "Bad Blood" with Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift. However the duo made the biggest statement of the night individually before the performances started or the hardware was handed out on the red carpet. Skrillex and Diplo like to share what they are working on and on the red carpet they unveiled that the pair are looking to release a brand new Jack Ü EP sometime in the beginning of 2016.

In the two minute interview, they don't go into much more detail beyond the fact that the pair are working on new music and expect to have a new EP out next year. The red carpet hosts Bailee Madison and Frankie Grande keep things light, talking about glitter, snapchat filters and their performance at Ultra Music Festival this year, which Diplo was a special guest with Diddy, CL and Bieber.

The new EP would be the first bit of music from Jack Ü since their album in February that featured the likes of AlunaGeorge, 2Chainz, Justin Bieber, Snails and others.

The time table for early 2016 could be a little ambitious for both artists who are constantly touring and have individual projects they are working on. Diplo hopes to releases another Major Lazer album early next as well, while Skrillex has hinted that a new solo album is on the way. We will just have to wait and see what type of magic these two come up with this time. After the success of "Where Are Ü Now," expect big name artists to line up to work with them.
