Avicii has unveiled the music video for his new single "Broken Arrows" featuring Zac Brown Band. Taken from the "Pure Grinding" DJ's new album Stories, the video is loosely based on the true story of Olympic high jumper Dick Fosbury, who, with the help of his daughter, totally reinvented the sport with the way of jumping that we see today.

The video starts out with the actor depicting Fosbury living in a trailer park with his gymnast daughter, down on his luck. He is a track and field athlete, but appears to be on his way to be getting cut from the team drinking in the morning before practice and at night. Additionally there are issues with money, as one might expect. His daughter tries to show him some gymnastic move with some boxes of cereal, a crutch balanced on top of them and a bed as the mat, but he shrugs it off.

However after a few bad meets where everyone is attempting to jump over sideways or face first, he remembers the bed and crutch as a way to try and something new. After seeing his daughter go over the crutch backwards, things totally change. He tries out going over backwards as a new technique and he breaks records, winning the gold medal at the 1968 World Championships. Things turn around for Fosbury, who quits drinking and becomes a pioneer in track and field.

The Julius Onah-directed visuals are a feel-good addition to the videos that have released as part of the promotion for Stories. Avicii directed the two previous videos for "Pure Grinding" and "For A Better Day," which had a more serious tone to them.
