Ahead of her new album Joyride, British style magazine Dazed revealed their new cover with singing sensation Tinashe.
Aside from the lengthy feature, the magazine also snapped a quirky photo shoot, including shots of Tinashe holding a lighter to her tongue, licking a miniature toilet, climbing trees and lying down with little tree figurines stuck to her head.
According to the publication, Joyride is due in January featuring contributions from Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Hit-Boy, Travis $cott, Dev Hynes, Nic Nac and Boi-1da, as well as Chris Brown, who appears on the lead single “Player.”
“I want it to be exciting, I want it to keep you on your toes, I want people to not know what to expect,” Tinashe said. “It’s the perfect title for this point in my life… I feel like I’m on a joyride all the time. It’s dangerous, it’s an adventure, it’s emotional.”
Just last week, Tinashe released a video for her buzz track "Party Favors." Although the original version, released in September, featured Young Thug, the Slime Season 2 rapper was noticeably absent from the video.
Tinashe previously revealed that she has 30 tracks recorded for her forthcoming LP. No word on who to expect feature wise, aside from Brown. Her critically acclaimed debut, Aquarius, included guest spots from ScHoolboy Q, Future and A$AP Rocky. The album dropped in October 2014.
Back in March, Tinashe released her Amethyst mixtape, her first since 2013's Black Water. Around that time is when she initially shared her plans to release another album.
In October, the 22-year-old was featured in Playboy's "Becoming Attraction" series as well as a fashion spread for Vogue alongside Kendall Jenner and Jaden Smith.
