Justin Bieber has had a lot of controversies in his day, from his divisive music to his DUIs and egg throwing case to his cancellation of his Thanksgiving Day Parade performance earlier this week. But what else has the "Sorry" singer done that has people up in arms? Why, he wore a Nirvana T-shirt to the 2015 American Music Awards. But now, his stylist is telling Nirvana fans to chill, because Kurt Cobain would probably find the "controversy" totally silly.

Bieber's personal stylist, Karla Welch, told Esquire that there is no reason to fuss over his AMAs apparel, saying that he's as much of a Nirvana fan as anyone else out there.

"Actually, it's not the first time that he's worn a Nirvana tee," Welch said. "But yeah, of course he's a fan of Nirvana. I think it's so funny that all these people are up in arms. I'm sure Kurt Cobain would be like-I mean I can't speak for him, obviously-but I don't think he was so snotty or that he would diss anyone who appreciated his music. I think he understood that that is like the antithesis of music appreciation. It's so funny. But you know, fans are fans!"

Someone else who didn't mind the Nirvana T-shirt? Cobain's widow, Courtney Love. After Bieber walked the red carpet in the $1500 Fear of God shirt, Love tweeted out her support to the 21-year-old pop star, hoping to quell the anger of rockists everywhere.
