Lady Gaga is a legend at V Magazine and the star has graced the cover four times to date. Gaga will appear again on the cover for the January 2016 issue and will even guest edit the magazine that month. She has gathered a strong group of fashion photographers, including Nick Knight, Steven Klein and Dutch duo Inez and Vinoodh for the issue.

"I feel like we all share an appetite for living a life of passion and creativity ... it's like we all found our immortality through art and fashion ... we share that deep spiritual place," the star told E! Online. "These are people who have kept and protected me over the years because they wanted me to survive."

She continued with, "That's part of the message of this issue: We have to carry each other through the decades and take care of one another and honor each other's work."

The editor in chief Stephen Gan is in full support of the decision and said on Gaga's turn as editor, "She's part musician, part notorious style setter and part opinionated editor with strong convictions. Over the past six years of knowing each other, Lady Gaga and I often talk about her editing an issue of V."

Gaga is known for being a chameleon in the music and fashion world, but her recent turn as The Countess in hit series American Horror Story: Hotel has taken the industry by storm. Directed by Ryan Murphy, the fifth installment of the show delves deep into the themes of addiction and Gaga plays a more controlled user who is in charge of Hotel Cortez, where all of the characters reside. Her cast members include Max Greenfield, veteran Sarah Paulson, Matt Bomer and Finn Wittrock.
