Slim Jesus has made no secret of his desire to remain independent. As previously reported, he posted a video on Instagram of himself burning a record contract, saying he only wanted to make "that independent money." According to Slim, he has re
ceived a number of offers from labels, only to turn them down. Now, it appears Cash Money Records is showing interest in the Hamilton, Ohio rapper. In a video posted to Youtube by Slim Jesus affiliate, King Yella, Slim is heard having a conversation allegedly with Birdman, CEO of Cash Money Records. The video is entitled "King Yella Joins Slim Jesus on Call With Birdman About a Deal," and includes conversations regarding the Ohio rappers talent as well as Birdman's relationship with Lil Wayne. Wayne, Birdman's protégé and label mate, is currently suing Birdman for $51 million over withheld compensation and the delay of his highly anticipated album, Tha Carter V. The lawsuit has pitted artists against each other and has even prompted accusations of violent conspiracies.

"I don't wanna waste your time or mine...I think you special," Birdman said during the phone conversation. "I [knew you were someone] we can f**k with. I'd like to come see you...I respect it, but I think I can change the way y'all living...Y'all f***in' with the biggest s**t in the world, dog. I am the biggest s**t in the world...I got the biggest artists in the world. We rotate that s**t. Wayne, Drake, Nicki. We make that s**t pop. And I got the biggest system."

During the phone call, the man alleged to be Birdman tells Slim Jesus and King Yella that Lil Wayne will not be leaving the Cash Money family and that he remains "like a son" to the rapper/businessman. He says, "Wayne ain't going nowhere, man. I don't know what you be hearing, man. Wayne, one-thousand. That's my son, man. He ain't going nowhere. Ain't nobody going nowhere."

The veracity of Birdman's voice in the video has yet to be confirmed.
