J Mascis of Dinosaur Jr. sat in with The Roots on Jimmy Fallon last night and -as I guess can happen when you have a legendary band backing you up every single night- it was paid virtually no mind. Aside from the plugging of Dino Jr's last album (2012's Bet On Sky), not much fuss was made. But no matter, we still get to see J Mascis and the Roots cover Neil Young, The Cure, Daft Punk and Black Sabbath.

Mascis and co played Young's "Cortez the Killer," "Just Like Heaven" from The Cure, "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk and Sabbath's best song "War Pigs" (Come at me, bros).

Songs for the skip-inclined (via):

"Cortez The Killer" (6:20)

"Just Like Heaven (17:05)

"Get Lucky" (21:25)

"War Pigs" (36:10)

What do you think of J Mascis' sitting in on the Roots?
