This is what it's like to spend eight months on Mars

Big Week NYC, the annual end-of-year electronic dance party series, has announced this year's lineup of DJs, producers and rappers who will perform at six different events throughout the last week of December, and it's a perfect nightcap to 2015. The concerts hosted at Pier 94 on Manhattan's West Side and downtown at Pier 36 will bring together many of dance music and hip hop's biggest, most bass-fueled names including Fetty Wap, Yellow Claw, Knife Party, Griz, Adventure Club, Dillon Francis, Oliver Heldens, Etc! Etc!, 12th Planet, Paper Diamond and many more in the days leading up to New Year's Eve performances by Future and Rudimental at Pier 36 and The Chainsmokers, Nicky Romero, Travis Scott and Ansolo at Pier 94.

The week-long multi-venue party series has been something of a fixture since 2011. Last year's Big Week boasted a long roster of A-list talent with headliners including Kaskade, Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren, DVBBS, Carnage and more, EDM Tunes notes, so it's pretty impressive that organizers have somehow managed to outdo themselves, yet again.

Big Week is hosted by RPM, the event production company that is also behind Pier of Fear, the summer Governor's Island series and the BK Wrhs parties, Your EDM reports. RPM is the brainchild of Pacha NYC owner Eddie Dean and the late Rob Fernandez. Pacha recently announced that the club will be closing its doors in January after a decade of hosting countless dance parties including theme nights and huge headliners in the tradition of the Sound Factory nightclub that occupied the same building in the 1990s. After the sudden passing of Fernandez and the subsequent (but not necessarily related) announcement of the club's imminent closure, there was some nervous speculation about whether or not RPM's scheduled NYE events would still go on, so this announcement of what might be the biggest week of parties yet comes as a major relief to many.

The initial Big Week NYC 2015 schedule is listed below at the end of this article. You can check out the full list of events and get tickets at bigweeknyc.com.
