Quentin Tarantino's latest western film, The Hateful Eight, will have its 4-side, 28-song soundtrack released on vinyl via Jack White's record label, Third Man Records. White recently revealed plans to open a vinyl pressing plant in Detroit while opening another Third Man store in the singer's hometown over Thanksgiving weekend.

The film's score was crafted by Ennio Morricone and assembled with musical contributions from Jennifer Jason Leigh, Samuel L. Jackson, Kurt Russell and Michael Madsen while The White Stripes De Stijl song "Apple Blossom" also appears on the track list. Bits of dialogue by Ray Orbison and David Hess will also be present on the score, The Verge notes. Morricone is well-known for scoring The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly as well as Once Upon a Time in the West, although he hasn't written a western score in over four decades.

Morricone's score will see a CD, vinyl and digital download release while Third Man Records plans to drop an exclusive vinyl edition of The Hateful Eight soundtrack, with exclusive extras such as two posters, a 12-page book with stills from the Tarantino flick and a reversible vinyl jacket, NME reports.

The Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs writer brings fourth his latest western, which follows the lives of eight eclectic strangers who find themselves seeking safety in the same shelter, Minnie's Haberdashery, in the midst of a Wyoming snowstorm. Tarantino favorite, Samuel L. Jackson stars in the film as Major Marquis Warren, an infamous, violent bounty hunter. Jennifer Jason Leigh takes on the role of Daisy Domergue, a desperately wanted fugitive, captured by Russel's character. The cast also includes performances by Tim Roth, Michael Madsen, Walton Goggins, Bruce Dern and Demian Richir.

Back in January of 2014, the film's script leaked, causing Tarantino to consider publishing the story as a novel instead. After tackling an extremely successful live reading in Los Angeles, the outspoken writer decided to trudge on with the film -- with a different ending, of course.

The Hateful Eight will debut in U.S. theaters beginning on December 25, just ahead of the UK release on January 8.
