Rick Ross gets more menacing than we've seen him in quite a while on "I Wonder Why." In spite of the title, which sounds like it should be an uplifting social issues track in the vein of other question songs like "Where Is The Love?" (or some of the Rich Gang's recent output), "I Wonder Why" is a evil, orchestra banger, the kind of track that reminds us why we were surprised to find out Bawse used to be a corrections officer.

The track features quite a few great moments but the Trayvon Martin revenge fantasy is too incredible to be ignored. Where other rappers put out introspective raps about the case and what it says about the state of America, Ross lets loose in typical Teflon Don fashion, turning the "Stand Your Ground" law debate on his head when he uses it to suggest that if George Zimmerman followed him, then Zimmerman would've been the one to not make it home.

Ross' new album The Mastermind is due out later this year on Def Jam.
