After Drake released his latest single, "Hotline Bling," the internet erupted with commentary and parodies alike and it was only time before the mashups started to hit YouTube. Now, someone has gone and mashed the hit rap song with Blink-182, aptly titled "Hotline Blink," and it's pure gold.

The Blink song heard on the remix, which was crafted by known mashup producer Dr. Brixx, appeared on the band's 1999 album, Enema Of The State. For two artists that could not be any more different, the blend works surprisingly well. Blink's Mark Hoppus belts out the vocals of the angsty teenage suicide anthem over the catchy hip hop beat.

If you grew up in the 90s, you probably listened to the original Blink-182 song on repeat, so it's likely it will make you miss the original founding trio. Over the past year, founding member Tom DeLonge quit and/or was fired from the band for supposedly refusing to reenter the studio with Hoppus and drummer Travis Barker. Since then, the band has replaced DeLonge with Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba and have reportedly recorded new songs together.

Drake's "Hotline Bling" has been remixed by many major artists including Justin Bieber and Erykah Badu, both of whom have released brand new material over the past month. In fact, Badu's entire new mixtape was inspired by the single entirely. The sample you hear in the Drake song, which reached number two on the Billboard Hot 100, is from Timmy Thomas' 1972 song, "Why Can't We Live Together."

The Canadian rapper hasn't detailed a new album yet, or decided on an official remix, however, he recently mentioned that he would be honored to spend time with Adele, collaborate or even do her laundry, so let's hope for the best. Until then, keep an eye out for more mashups.
