After taking a break from music for a lengthy eight years, JoJo is assuring her loyal fans that her impending third studio album, III, will be well worth the wait when it sees its debut in 2016. The pop singer recently detailed her return to the music scene and her North American tour.

After undergoing label issues with Blackground Records, the 24-year-old singer is now signed with Atlantic Records, with whom she released her EP, III. The 2015 EP boasts the dance-leaning track, "When Love Hurts." Making fans heads spin, the "Baby It's You" singer dropped a trifecta of singles, or tringle, including the dance anthem, "Save My Soul" and Say Love."

"I'm, like, 70 songs deep and I'm probably going to keep recording because I love being in the studio," JoJo told Billboard. "I know it's an uncertain time in music, but I still believe in albums. I love listening to body of work from an artist and really diving into their world that they wanted to invite us into."

III features a string of collaborators such as Sweden's The Family, Jason Evigan, Diane Warren, Benny Blanco and MNEK. The "How To Touch A Girl" singer further detailed her goal of expression with her new album. House and electronic music has impacted her style over the last few years, making the decision easy to implement those musical elements and energy into crafting new music.

JoJo will continue her North American touring circuit until Dec. 20, in promotion of her return to music. "I'm having such an amazing time," the singer explained. "I'm happier than I've been since I can remember, actually. I really feel comfortable with who I am and what I've learned about myself and I'm so thankful to have the opportunity that a lot of artists don't get after they get in a legal situation, and just to have a fan base that's supported me. So I'm really soaking up every moment and not taking anything for granted."

According to The Huffington Post, he singer recently stopped by The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon to deliver a powerful rendition of "When Love Hurts."
