One of the biggest surprises of the 2016 Grammy nominations was that Drake's Meek Mill diss track "Back to Back" got a nomination for Best Rap Performance. The one-off single's critical acclaim has now fired up Twitter, which once again pits Mill as the butt of jokes in 2015.
After the 2016 Grammy nominations were revealed for fans on Monday (Dec. 7), out of nowhere Mill became a trending topic once again--however, this time, it was not of his own doing.
The announcement spawned countless memes with Mill as the butt of jokes once again, similar to what happened over the summer after Drake dropped his second diss following his initial response, "Charged Up."
The ridicule hasn't quite let up for Mill just yet. Fans had another dig at Mill, thanking him for taking losses in his epic feud against Drake all year.
In the Best Rap Performance category, "Back to Back" is up against J.Cole's "Apparently," Fetty Wap's "Trap Queen," Kendrick Lamar's "Alright" and Nicki Minaj's "Truffle Butter" featuring both Lil Wayne and Drake.
