Sunday Dec. 6 brought the deluxe re-release of The Beatles' 1, titled 1+, along with a newly remixed and restored version of the timeless, sing-a-long Fab Four track, "Hey Jude."

In promotion of the re-release, the group's Vevo account shared a visually pleasing, restored version of the famed video for "Hey Jude," originally written by Paul McCartney as "Hey Jules," in order to help Julian Lennon's woes during John Lennon and Cynthia Lennon's split. The Wings singer penned the track during his voyage to go comfort the family in their time of need, Billboard notes. The track spent a total of nine weeks at the top of Billboard's Hot 100 charts, along with being the first song to debut in the top ten.

The Beatles were recorded while performing the song which was later showcased on David Frost's Frost On Sunday show, garnering hundreds of fans to lend their vocals during the na-na-na's. The candid performance is enough to make any Beatles fan excited but if that isn't enough, turn all focus to the drum kit where Ringo Starr is adorned in a flavorful lime green suit.

Ahead of the 1+ release, The Beatles also dropped a fully restored video for the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band ending track, "A Day in the Life." The deluxe edition contains 2 Blu-Rays and 1 CD of the restored 1 compilation, Rolling Stone reports. The original album debut strung together the group's most celebrated chart toppers from both the U.S. and U.K. Furthermore, the expanded set boasts 23 previously unseen promotional films which George Harrison, Starr, McCartney and Lennon referred to as "mini movies."

The surviving Beatles, McCartney and Starr, provide pre-recorded forewords and commentary for many of the videos contained on the Blu-Ray disc, all accompanied by a hardbound, 124-page book.
