The statement was a powerful reminder that women are not Bechdel-test failures whose lives revolve entirely around men. Further, Nicki's reaction dispelled the notion that women "love drama" or thrive off difficult emotional situations.
Speaking of Nicki and her penchant to speak her mind, Queen Latifah, in accepting the award, said, according to XXL, "Opinionated, outspoken, oh so damn original," she continued.
