Bernie Sander's affinity for rapper Killer Mike has been no secret. The rapper even introduced the left-wing presidential candidate at a rally in Atlanta, after taking him to some of his favorite spots in Mike's hometown. Now, it appears the politically active rapper will be interviewing Sanders in an upcoming six-part series, which he has previewed for audiences on Monday.

The conversation took place at Killer Mike's barbershop, the SWAG shop in Edgewood, Georgia. As was previously reported, Mike believes strongly in the power of the barbershop as a place of community gathering, and has committed to opening a chain across the country.

The full interview will be released Tuesday night at 10:00 am Eastern Time, and will be separated into six parts. According to Pitchfork, the parts are entitled, "Economic Freedom," "Social Justice," "A Rigged Economy," "Free Health Care: It Ain't a Big Deal," "This Country Was Started as an Act of Political Protest," and "Democrats Win When People Vote." The videos will be posted on Mike's YouTube and Facebook pages.

As a means of previewing the upcoming interview, Mike posted a series of clips on his Instagram page. In one such post, Mike captioned the video, "Ask your self the question he is asking! Really shut up with your "opinions" and think about the old folks who have made an impact in your life and ask your self why is there a faction in American politics that want do this. Where is the empathy we all shud have for others. We can figure these problems out without making poor people the enemy. Sheeee***it U prolly poor too lol! Love and Respect to All."

The two have expressed similar views on the growing racial tensions in the country, income inequality, our police tactics, and a range of other issues. The interview will likely solidify these positions and hopefully illuminate new views from the two icons.
