J. Cole has unveiled the second episode of his new HBO series Road to Homecoming. The new series follows him on his recent 2014 Forest Hills Drive Tour around the United States and takes the viewer inside the tour bus, behind the scenes at his shows and what it is like to be with Cole beyond what you see on social media or in his videos. The second episode continues what was shown in episode one, moving along with the tour through Los Angeles and elsewhere, as we see him make beats, meet fans and more.

Episode two starts with viewers meeting the band, including the one keyboardist who Cole occasionally kicks off during shows to noodle around on one song and they lament that now everyone thinks Cole is the best man on boards in the group.

The footage takes you inside the tour bus studio where we see Cole working on some beats. He admits most are very average, but he still bounces them into the nearly thousands of unused beats that he has. He says that if he writes a verse to completion, 90 percent of the time he will use it.

In a mini-homecoming, he heads back to his school St. Johns and gets his diploma, which he never got because of one unpaid book.

Viewers meet each one of the members of his team from security, to sound to the tour manager and they explain their jobs and how they are vital to the success of the tour. It becomes very clear that Cole fosters a family environment on his tour with the fans and in his own team.

The tour heads to Europe and you see a few shows there before ending just before he goes on at the O2 arena in Birmingham as he stands in front a sea of people.

The video series is being done with HBO and presented on Vimeo is the lead up to a special on the premium network on Jan. 9 that will show his homecoming concert in North Carolina.
