We were just thinking about whether Bobby "The Haxan Cloak" Krilic would ever tour in the United States and lo, the angels of artful electronic music rewarded us. The performer will be doing his first "tour" of the United States (consisting of four total dates).

His first date will be in Washington D.C., before heading to New York City, Chicago and Los Angeles respectively. The L.A. show will be shared with Pharmakon, and the New York show will be accompanied by Robert Henke's "Lumiére" production.

"Robert Henke-the artist behind the revered Monolake project-is taking back the idea and making it into something altogether different," reads a description of the production. "Henke is joined by Tri Angle's dark prince The Haxan Cloak, whose experimental tracks are just as influenced by classical as they are by noise."

That description of Haxan Cloak's work is as descriptive as...not much. His album Excavation was a must on any list of 2013's best electronic music albums, and it cracked onto many publications albums of the year list. The album traced the journey after death using ambient drones and creeping strings to create an experience that ranges between eerie and anxiety-wracking. If you were able to get out to one of Kanye West's "Yeezus" tour dates without an opener, you'll recognize the album as the music that was played prior to him taking the stage. We heard many a pop-savvy teenager expressing discomfort with the choice of warm-up music.
