It's been some time since we've all heard a good R&B break-up track. Most break-up tracks come from your favorite pop stars like Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber but Rico Love has just switched things up. The R&B singer and producer just released the track, "Please," featuring Pusha T and it's a must to check out.
This new track from Rico is smooth and he matches the romantic flow with his lyrics, "In a minute I'ma lose my mind/Because I know I really broke your heart/Told you sorry about a thousand times/Since we broke up cuz it's all my fault." Right before Pusha comes in, Rico begs his ex not to mess with his friends as payback.
Pusha takes a different route and points out his ex's love for the finer things and what she'll be missing out on if she tries to get revenge. Rico's vocals shine on this track since many know him for his production skills. Rico proves there is more to him producing and he should be respected as an artist as well.
Rico did take to Instagram to explain that "Please," is about a man that is in prison and though he knows his girl isn't giving him another chance, he asks that she doesn't mess with his friends. He goes on to explain his thought process while writing his music. Check out the post here.
The singer is currently working on his new project titled, Veronica, which he has sited on his Instagram posts. Though a date hasn't been released yet, with "Please" being one of the tracks off of the project, it sounds like it's going to be a good one. Rico's last project,Turn the Lights On, came out in early 2015 and definitely changed how people looked at R&B.
