Normally people receive gifts for their birthday, but today, Dutch DJ, producer Hardwell, real name Robbert van de Corput has decided to give something away in the form of a new, unreleased song titled "Blackout" as a free download.

Normally free songs from guys of this caliber are throwaways as a way to celebrate a social media milestone or act as a thank you for some sort of career goal, but this time Hardwell actually unleashes a track worth your listen and download. Unlike his other tracks and those signed to his label Revealed Recordings, "Blackout" is grounded in a chunky bass line with some heavy distortion on the synth lead, while returning to old form in the breakdown with trance synths similar to the older tracks that fans came to love him for in the early 2010s.

"Blackout" will be a useful tool when Hardwell hits the road this spring on a club tour with his Revealed Recordings label mates across North America. Over two weeks, he, Thomas Newson and Kill The Buzz will perform at small venues in Atlanta, Boston, New York City, Columbus and elsewhere.

Hardwell turns the page on a 2015 where he released his debut artist album United We Are and wrapped up his biggest tour ever -- the I AM Hardwell tour, which took him to arenas all over the world. Entering 2016 now at the ripe age of 28, Hardwell looks to build on that success with this new free download and a busy touring schedule.

Stream "Blackout" below on SoundCloud and do not hesitate to pick up the free download.
