Selena Gomez's second Revival single "Same Old Love" has been climbing the charts, but to get a little extra boost she's looking toward a rapper who owned the Hot 100 in 2015: Fetty Wap. On Thursday (Jan. 7), the "Trap Queen" emcee hopped on the Charli XCX-penned track for a fiery new remix.

Right off the back, it's clear that this version of "Same Old Love" is different, with Wap talking about being sick himself of his tired love in the opening 20 seconds before Gomez even sings. For his part, Wap plays at the very beginning and end of the remix, switching things up just enough to breathe new life into this single while maintaining Gomez's original vocals.

Wap also keeps to the original themes of the song, about a cyclical love that just makes you want to give it all up.

"So sick of that same old love / Baby, and I don't mean to make you cry / Baby thought I could be by your side / Baby thought you were my ride or die / Baby, so sick of the same old lies," Fetty Wap half-raps, half-sings in his signature style near the end of the remix (in his second appearance).

His jarring vocals play well against Gomez's own croon for a remix that's sure to heat up radio (and chart positions).

“Same Old Love” is the second of three singles to be released from Gomez’s October 2015 album Revival. This track is sandwiched between the promo of “Good for You” (which featured A$AP Rocky) and “Hands to Myself.”
