Coldplay are confirmed to be playing the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, but the "Adventure of a Lifetime" band won't be going at it alone - they have one big time collaborator already booked, and it's none other than Beyoncé.

After weeks of rumors flying, Entertainment Tonight confirmed that Bey will be returning to the Pepsi Super Bowl halftime show in 2016, just three years after she headlined the night herself.

Though the level of Beyoncé's involvement in the big show remains under wraps, it's likely that she and Coldplay will be performing their collaborative single "Hymn for the Weekend," which appears on the Brit rocker's new album A Head Full of Dreams.

Though Coldplay are new to the Super Bowl stage, Beyoncé performed at the 2013 rendition of the show alongside her Destiny's Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

Beyoncé isn't the only performer set to join Coldplay on stage, another Super Bowl halftime show alumnus will also be joining in on the fun. Bruno Mars, who played the Super Bown XVVIII halftime show in 2014 with The Red Hot Chili Peppers, is also expected to make an appearance. And, since it's the 50th Super Bowl, more performers are expected to be announced alongside the already star-heavy lineup.

Last year's Super Bowl XLIX halftime show featured none other than Katy Perry, who was joined on stage by Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott. Other notable recent halftime show performers include Madonna, The Black Eyed Peas, The Who, Prince and Paul McCartney.
