The New Year's Eve show is a hallowed tradition. It often serves as an excuse for the performer to go completely wild, and join in the revelry of the night. Further, the performance often turns out to appear more like a party than a concert. Ask a Phish fan. Master P was excited to take part in this tradition, and had been planning a New Year's show in Dubai for months. However, at the last minute, the No Limit Records label head said the show's promoters broke the terms of the agreement, and declared a "breach of contract." Master P allegedly did not want to cancel the show. Further, although he wanted Snoop Dogg on the bill, the rapper never agreed, despite the promise of promoters.

"I love my fans in Dubai, they have been loyal to me and No Limit," Master P told AllHipHop. "I talked to Snoop personally, and he said that he was booked for New Year's in Las Vegas. My team reached out to Snoop's management and tried to find other dates but they were not interested, which I informed the promoter."

"I immediately contacted the promoter in Dubai and demanded a cease and desist on the unlawful use of Snoop's name and likeness," he continued. "I told the promoter that this was a total breach of contract and that we would handle this matter according to U.S. contractual laws. I informed the promoter that I would not be coming to Dubai for New Years due to the breach of contract."

Master P went on to offer advice to American artists who want to perform abroad. He advised that such performances require a full payment before the event takes place, saying, "My advice to any artist performing internationally, get your total fee upfront. We have forwarded all adequate information to U.S. intelligence to assure International security. My attorneys are prepared to handle any legal matters and disputes that may arise out of this. As a business man, my intentions always are to do good business locally or internationally."
