The music world is mourning the loss today of one of the all-time greats, David Bowie who died at the age of 69 after an 18-month-long battle with cancer. The outpouring of support has been felt by those who knew him personally and worked alongside him all the way to those who are just being introduced to his music now. Brooklyn and UK based record label, vinyl store and concert space Rough Trade is now paying their respects to the legend by donating all profits from his music to cancer research.

The profits will be donated specifically to Cancer Research UK, an organization that funnels money into the research to treat various different cancers. This won't be the last act of altruism you will see from the music community in honor of David Bowie, but it is good to see a company honoring Bowie this way by donating money to a worthy cause.

Rough Trade also tweeted that because of this, their website is having issues handling all of the extra traffic, so if you are having trouble buying records from Rough Trade just know it is for a good cause.
