Danity Kane had a bit of a pause between announcing its reunion, tour and releasing new music, but now the reformed girl group has dropped a new single. Today (May 15), Danity Kane released its first song in six years, "Lemonade," featuring Tyga.

The song recalls the more urban side of Danity Kane, with strong rapped and windingly sung verses and hook-filled poppy choruses. Danity Kane's harmonies are as strong as ever, with a little bite filling every chord.

Danity Kane hasn't released new music since 2008's Welcome to the Dollhouse, and in a way, that shows. The production value and overall sound of "Lemonade" is very mid-2000s. Perhaps it's the little high hats in the mix or the deeper, clunkier beats mixed with the girly vocal patterns but this track just sounds not of this decade.

Listen to "Lemonade" below:

Not only is a little modernity missing from "Lemonade," but a fourth Danity Kane member may be absent, as well. Rumors have it that Aundrea Fimbres may not even be a featured artist on "Lemonade" and that she may have left the group altogether.

Sharp-eared Danity Kane fans noticed that Fimbres seemed to be missing from "Lemonade" and took to the group's Facebook page to share their curiosities.

It's also of note that the single cover for "Lemonade" features only three girls, and the other members have all changed their Twitter profile pictures to the "Lemonade" cover art, while Fimbres remains an old press photo.

Regardles, song had dropped. And soon, with three or four members, Danity Kane will hit the road on its #NoFilter Tour, which kicks off tomorrow (May 16) in San Francisco.
