Riot Fest celebrates its tenth anniversary this year! As a way to applaud the decade 10 bands on the lineup are now scheduled to play their essential (and classic) albums in full at this year's festival – either in Chicago or both Denver and Chicago.
The idea began as a '10 Years. 10 Essential Albums' idea, says Michael Petryshyn, Riot Fest partner. He was recently quoted explaining that the idea came to him during last year's Violent Femmes set. "It dawned on me that if we ever did an album play thing at Riot, we should make it something that fans would remember years from now."
Nine of the bands scheduled to perform their essential albums have been revealed so far:

The Get Up Kids: Something To Write Home About - Chicago
