Flume has unveiled the latest single from his new album Skin. Linking up with Skrillex collaborator Kai, the Australian producer and DJ premiered his new single "Never Be Like You" with Annie Mac on BBC Radio One today and subsequently released it to the public.

The tune is another top-notch production from Flume. Kai's vocals provide a radio-friendly edge to this tune as her vocals soar over the strings and bright synths from Flume. The Australian comes in with another well-produced instrumental with chopped up synths and layered percussion. He remains on the cutting edge of the "future bass" movement with more textures and elements than those who emulate him.

Flume explains how the track came together beginning online and eventually coming together in person in New York City.

"Kai and I were sending ideas back and forth online, then met up in NYC and went into the studio," Flume says press release. "We laid down some chords and started an idea but weren't feeling inspired. So we went out into the night for a few hours and when we returned, it all started to come together."

There were whispers of a new album throughout 2015, amplified when he released his track with Andrew Wyatt "Some Minds." However he went silent after that, only popping back up to preview some new music in a BBC Radio One Essential Mix.

It wasn't until he previewed his full album Skin at the end of 2015 that fans started to feel confident that 2016 would be the year that they would get another album from Flume. No release date has been announced yet, but it is expected some time in 2016.
