If you happened to catch the season 2 finale of the STARZ hit show Survivor's Remorse, you were probably caught by surprise at the ending when Mike Epps' character was tragically killed. The actor explained during interview how his request for more money ended his time with the show.

According to The Wrap, it was during the Television Critics Association press tour to promote his new sitcom Uncle Buck that Epps revealed what happened to his character Julius.

"I asked for some more money and they killed me," explained Epps during the TCA tour. He continued to explain that news of his sudden departure is nothing new in the world of entertainment and show business.

"That's usually what happens on TV shows," he said. "If you can remember Good Times, that's what happened."

The show, which has aired a total of 16 episodes to date, also stars Tichina Arnold, Jessie Usher, RonReaco Lee, Erica Ash and Teyonah Parris. Produced by LeBron James, the show centers around Cam Calloway (Usher), a newly signed basketball star in his early 20s whose life drastically changes for him and his family, who now have a lot of money. Epps played Calloway's uncle who was unexpectedly struck by a on-coming truck during the season finale.

Although his character will be missed, Epps seems to be taking his departure from the show as a good thing. During the TCA event, he explained how his character on Survivor's Remorse was not neccessarily a lead character and he is much happier being no. 1 on a sitcom than "the 24th lead."

Uncle Buck, set to air on ABC, is a revamped comedy based on the 1989 John Hughes movie starring the late John Candy, according to Variety.

Epps will play the uncle of three children whose nanny just quit and they need an adult to pick up from where she left off. Epps, who needs a place to stay, happily fills the spot.
