The Gaslight Anthem's Brian Fallon has debuted a second one of his new solo songs, a warm new single titled "Nobody Wins" from his upcoming release, Painkillers.

After releasing their celebrated 2014 album, Get Hurt, The Gaslight Anthem embarked on an indefinite hiatus. Fallon began working on and promoting his solo career almost immediately after, releasing now two new tracks, the first of which was a song titled "A Wonderful Life."

"Nobody Wins" by its title alone, has a very somber message, however, Fallon's calming vocals and smooth acoustic guitar riffs are quite welcoming, with even a few subtle hints of Country influence throughout. It's noticeably different from The Gaslight Anthem's, well, for lack of a better word, "anthemic" hits.

Speaking on their hiatus, the band issued a statement saying "We'd like to recharge and take a step back until we have something we feel excited about rather than going right back to making a record just for the sake of making the next record... We all feel this is the best decision we can make and it feels like the right one for us."

Painkillers is due out March 11 via Island Records and you can currently pre-order the record via iTunes to get an instant download of the singer/songwriter's first two singles.

Fallon will head out on a Painkillers Tour in the U.S. this March, backed by Gaslight Anthem guitarist Alex Rosamilia, Ian Perkins of Fallon's other project, The Horrible Crowes, as well as Molly & The Zombies bassist, Catherine Popper. The tour kicks off on March 8 at Philadelphia's Electric Factory and will wrap-up on March 26 at San Diego's House of Blues. Pre-sale tickets are currently available.
