Earlier this year, Martina McBride paid a personal visit to Covenant House Casa Alianza in Guatemala. The kids at the house, which was started by George Harrison of The Beatles, impacted her so much that she decided to do something. She and her charitable organization, Team Martina, started a fundraising campaign called "Everlasting Music For Kids" on Crowdrise. So far, her fans have donated over $26k and there are still 22 days left in the campaign.

Martina told Country Weekly about her visit and the effect it had on her. She said, "Having visited Covenant House earlier this year and seen firsthand the great work they do for teens, I’m excited about this new project. I know as well as anyone how much music can change lives. It makes me happy to think music is going to be introduced to a group of young girls who can truly benefit from it."

Covenant House International is a home for young girls who have been orphaned, abandoned or are victims of abuse and human trafficking. It provides them with care for their bodies and music programs for their spirits.
