Music festival season has officially commenced for music fans around the U.S. as top festivals like Bonnaroo, Governors Ball and Coachella have announced their stacked lineups and ticket on-sales over the past month. With artists like Dead & Company, Kanye West, Calvin Harris and Guns N' Roses at the top of the bill, it goes without saying those three festivals will have some of the most sought after passes, and since their on-sales, passes to all three festivals have become increasingly harder--and more expensive--to obtain.

The Indie-based festival Coachella will see some big reunions this year with headlining bands LCD Soundsystem and Guns N' Roses reuniting during the festival's two weekends. Coachella will take place April 15-17 and April 22-24 and lists other acts like Calvin Harris, CHVRCHES, Sia and The 1975 as top performers. Tickets went on sale at the beginning of January, priced at $399 for face-value. Due to overwhelming demand, 3-day passes for Coachella are averaging a whopping $822 for both weekends, with the cheapest 3-day pass available for a still well above face value of $525 price.

Bonnaroo | Manchester, Tennessee | Average Ticket Price: $531 | Get-in Price: $389
Pearl Jam, Dead & Company, LCD Soundsystem, J. Cole, Ellie Goulding and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis are just a few of the names that will take the stage at the Manchester, Tennessee-based festival, Bonnaroo. Now in its 15th year, Bonnaroo will take place on June 9-12, and 4-day passes to the event are rising in price, as the first two tiers of GA passes have already sold out. Resale tickets to Bonnaroo are currently averaging $531, with the cheapest pass available for $389, and fans are encouraged to grab them before they're gone. Luckily for festival goers, camping is included in the price of a GA pass, but for those looking to find hotels nearby the festival site, cheap lodging can be found on Hipmunk.com, where hotels in the nearby city of Nashville start for as low as $74 per night.
Governors Ball | New York City | Average Ticket Price: $531 | Get-in Price: $352
In just six quick years, the New York City-based music festival Governors Ball has pushed itself to the top of the music festival world and has become one of the hottest summer destinations. The most obvious example of the festival's popularity is the continued demand for 3-day passes. Kanye West, the Strokes, the Killers, Robyn, M83, Haim, Chvrches, Father John Misty and Death Cab For Cutie are just a handful of names slotted to play the festival, which kicks off on June 3-5 at Randall's Island. Tickets on the resale market are strikingly similar to Bonnaroo's, as three day passes to Governors Ball are currently averaging $531, with the cheapest 3-day pass available for $352.
