Composer and producer Sam Shepherd, known by his stage name Floating Points has announced his first live North American tour with his new band. Following the release of his critically acclaimed album Elaenia at the tail end of 2015, the time is right for Shepherd to kick off his first ever live tour of North America.
The tour will kick off with two nights at the Masonic Lodge in Los Angeles on April 25 and 26. He then does a series of shows around California in Santa Ana, San Francisco and again in Los Angeles for a DJ Set on April 30, before continuing up the coast to Vancouver.
After some more gigs in Canada and Chicago, Floating Points has two shows in New York City and then heads south through Washington, DC and Durham for Moogfest. The tour will finish off at in Atlanta for the newly founded Shaky Beats Festival.
