Silent Hills is dead, despite the hype built around the P.T. gameplay trailer staring Norman Reedus, but that doesn't mean that the canceled game's creators are done working with each other. The architect of the Metal Gear Solid video games, Hideo Kojima, and filmmaker Guillermo del Toro have continued their personal and professional relationships since the end of their gaming venture, and are set to talk at the 2016 DICE Summit in Las Vegas later this month. Joining an impressive group of speakers, these creative minds are coming together for one reason or another, and we'll learn more Feb. 16-18.

We're not sure if this is rubbing salt in your Silent Hills wounds, but you can check out some of the canceled gameplay footage right here:

According to Polygon, Kojima was recently announced as the newest member of the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences Hall of Fame. Del Toro will help induct the video game icon into the Hall of Fame at the summit, which will also include a "conversation" between the two. "This conversation will revisit some of their fondest memories from their own individual careers as well as some of the pivotal moments from each other's work that remain a constant source of inspiration," a press release for the summit explained, according to Kotaku.

Kojima recently left Konami late last year, which was a controversial move in the video game world. He has since started his own studio, Kojima Productions, which we're sure we'll learn more about at the summit.

Other summit speakers include Randy Pitchford (Gearbox Software co-founder), Todd Howard (Fallout 4), Rich Hilleman (Electronic Arts), writer Rhianna Pratchett and many more. You can check out this year's speakers right here.
