Last week, incarcerated rapper Max B found himself at the center of Kanye West and Wiz Khalifa’s unexpected beef after West decided to change the name of his forthcoming album to WAVES. More recently, Max called in to the Breakfast Club and shared his thoughts on the new title.

Although West’s sudden name swap got more than a few Max B fans riled up, the “Blow Me A Dub” rapper didn’t seem to mind his apparent influence on West.

"It's all love. I appreciate it," he said. "I'm flattered that dudes is even acknowledging the situation. Everybody know I'm an innovator. Everybody know I got imagination. I come up with these words and these slogans and these catch phrases and it's all good when the people follow suit. I like Kanye, I appreciate it. I love it, thank you."

He went on to say that he regards WAVES as a tribute, of sorts. "He ain't drop a diss record, he just called his album WAVES. And everybody know I'm the wavy daddy."

If there was any confusion of where the term originated, Khalifa made sure to inform fans and other Twitter users alike at the height of his online feud with the “No More Parties in L.A.” rapper.

“Please don't take the wave,” he tweeted, following up with, “Max B is the wavy one. He created the wave. There is no wave without him. He's the reason I sing on all my songs. That's the wave. If theres nothing wit that sound ITS NOT WAVY.”

Khalifa’s tweets prompted an epic response from West, who went on to criticize Khalifa for getting “trapped by a stripper,” a reference to their shared ex, Amber Rose. The two have since made amends.
