Even after releasing 30 studio albums, Elton John never tires when it comes to promoting his music. The "Candle in the Wind" singer shocked a London train station filled with travelers when he showed up for an impromptu, surprise performance of his Madman Across the Water track, "Tiny Dancer," as well as several other fan faves.

John popped up at the city's St. Pancras International depot and slid behind the piano to offer a performance of the fan-favorite 1971 hit. "A colleague and I were just walking through the station and there was a bit of a crowd, then everyone started clapping and cheering," a passerby told The Guardian. "Elton sat down and started playing 'Tiny Dancer.' He didn't sing, played for about five minutes, then got up and walked away, all very low key."

The surprise show came just in time to promote his latest LP, Wonderful Crazy Night, which was released in stores today. John left the piano behind at his St. Pancras gig, etching it with the message, "Enjoy this piano. It's a gift. Love, Elton John."

The "Crocodile Rock" singer took to his personal Instagram account to post a picture of the piano and its inscription. "Surprise!! I popped into St Pancras International to christen the Yamaha piano which I donated to the station. Now everyone can have a play. ... My gift is my song and this piano's for you," he wrote.

Wonderful Crazy Night, which boasts "Looking Up" as its lead-single, takes a page from his previous works, tapping into ideas from his speedy 70s sounds and studio albums. All the tracks on John's latest LP were recorded in an impressive one or two takes over a quick, 17-day span. The entertainer just ended his Las Vegas residency and is slated to launch a short tour in March. After the passing of David Bowie, John offered a cover of the glam rock icon's "Space Oddity."
