Jay Electronica said that he did not know what Kendrick Lamar was talking about in his music and that 50 Cent had fallen off as a rapper in a question-and-answer session on Periscope. The New Orleans rapper also referred to Kendrick Lamar as both his "baby" and his "son."

Although the rapper did not release any new material or elaborate on the release of his long-awaited album, Electronica made sure his opinions about the two acclaimed rappers was heard.

When asked by a fan to put Kendrick Lamar on the radio, Electronica replied, "Nah, f**k that." He elaborated that he enjoyed the Kendrick track "Cartoons & Cereal," but was not a fan of the rapper in general. He mentioned that he could not understand Kendrick's lyrics, and wished the rapper would be more accessible. Referencing "Cartoons & Cereal," the New Orleans rapper said, "...other than that, we don't know what that ni**a talking about...We don't know what these lames is talking about."

He then went on to refer to Lamar as his "son," saying he couldn't possibly defeat Jay in a rap battle. "Kendrick'll tell you himself he couldn't body me. Kendrick is my son. Kendrick is my baby. Kendrick wishes that he could be me," the rapper exclaimed.

Electronica also shared his thoughts on 50 Cent, opining that the rapper had lost a considerable amount of talent and momentum in recent years. He proclaimed, "At one point he was a good rapper, right now he got the potential to be a good rapper..." before descending into a series of violent threats directed at the rapper.

Jay continued, "...but he's on some sucker s**t, and we will slap his f**king eyeballs loose. We'll slap 50 Cent's f**king eyeballs loose out his scalp."
