Lady Gaga is already a Golden Globe winner, a multi-Grammy winner and an Academy Award nominee, and now the pop superstar is is slated to receive a Jane Ortner Artist Award and an honor in the Grammy Museum this year.

The Jane Ortner Artist Award is received by artists who have gone above and beyond in the music industry, in both performing and educating others. One notable recent Gaga contribution is her collaboration with Diane Warren, "Til It Happens to You," which addresses the rampant sexual assaults that occur on college campuses across the United States.

“The enormous impact Lady Gaga has had on artists and fans began with a strong educational foundation,” the executive director of the Grammy Museum Bob Santelli said in a statement to Billboard. “Her career trajectory, marked by extraordinary talent and creativity, is one of the most inspiring stories in music.”

"Til It Happens to You" was featured as the soundtrack for The Hunting Ground, a documentary that deals with sexual assaults on college campuses directed by Kirby Dick and produced by Amy Ziering. Part of Gaga's contribution to both this project and in the industry was when she opened up about her own rape at the age of 19 at a TimesTalks discussion panel.
