After Andrew W.K.'s notorious party anthem "Party Hard" has been elected by fans as the new official goal song for the Pittsburgh Penguins NHL hockey team, the New York City rocker will host Wednesday night's (Feb. 10) game against the New York Rangers.

Tonight's appearance at the stadium is his first since the song has claimed an official place at the Consol Energy Center, home of Pennsylvania's celebrated team.

The song, which appears on Andrew W.K.'s 2001 studio album, I Get Wet, was voted in by fans following a successful petition via the Pittsburgh Sports and Mini Ponies website. "'Party Hard' is the ultimate expression of joy, happiness and love for one another," reads the petition. "These are all feelings associated with watching your favorite hockey team score a huge goal at home. Hugs all around, people. There are few songs with such power and direction. Andrew tells you to Party Hard You Party Hard."

According to a press release, since "Party Hard" became the goal song on Oct. 22, 2015, fans have been taking to social media to express their approval of the decision, making for over 33 million overall online impressions.

The King of Partying just recently launched his first ever Las Vegas residency, featuring four Party DJ sets at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino's new Center Bar. The new residency will take place on the first Saturday of each month, and since the most recent one was just this past Saturday (Feb. 6), W.K.'s next appearance will be on Saturday, March 5.
