The Grammys are set to pay tribute to the late Eagles guitarist/singer Glenn Frey in the most appropriate way possible - with his bandmates. On Wednesday (Feb. 10), the Eagles and Grammys announced that Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy B. Schmit and Bernie London will honor their fallen comrade alongside his frequent collaborator Jackson Browne.

According to the LA Times, the Eagles and Browne will be paying tribute to Frey with one of his best-known Eagles songs "Take It Easy." Instead of playing it somber, the legendary rock band wanted to honor Frey with a celebration of his life.

"We wanted something simple and elegant, and in discussing it with the family, we wanted an uptempo moment," the Eagles' manager Irving Azoff said. "We knew they were going to do something to honor Glenn, as they well should, and our band decided they'd like to participate in it rather than watch someone else do it."

Frey passed away on Jan. 17 at the age of 67 after a battle with a number of ailments.

The tribute to Frey is one of several planned performances honoring a deceased musician at this year's Grammys. Lady Gaga is set to pay tribute to David Bowie, The Hollywood Vampires will thank Motorhead's Lemmy for his contributions to music and a tribute to B.B. King featuring Chris Stapleton, Bonnie Raitt and Gary Clark Jr. is also planned.

Other performances at this year's Grammys include songs from Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Adele, Kendrick Lamar, Justin Bieber and Jack U, Carrie Underwood and more.
