Bruce Springsteen is ready to share his autobiography this year, with Sept. 27, 2016 marking to release date of the aptly titled book, Born to Run. According to the press release for this memoir, "The Boss" started writing this book after his 2009 Super Bowl halftime show appearance, detailing his childhood, career and more.

"Writing about yourself is a funny business," Springsteen notes in his book, according to The Hollywood Reporter. "But in a project like this, the writer has made one promise, to show the reader his mind. In these pages, I've tried to do this."

Born to Run shares the same title as the musician's third studio album, released in 1975, featuring such classic songs as "Tenth Avenue Freeze Out," "Thunder Road," and, of course, the title track that has become arguably the singer's most recognizable song.

This autobiography is being published by Simon & Schuster, which includes hardcover, ebook, and audio editions in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and India. Publishers in nine other countries have already been sold the rights as well.

"This is the book we've been hoping for," Simon & Schuster's Jonathan Karp said in the official press release for the new book. "Readers will see their own lives in Bruce Springsteen's extraordinary story, just as we recognize ourselves in his songs."

While the book's release date is set for a few months away in September, pre-ordering is sure to be available beforehand. Springsteen's team has stated that such details will be shared with those interested once it is figured out.
