Chris Stapleton may have stunned the world with his debut album Traveller, produced by Dave Cobb, but the two are not done collaborating yet. On Thursday (Feb. 18) just days after the duo won Best Country Album at the 2016 Grammys, Chris Stapleton and his wife Morgane Stapleton released their cover of the classic "You Are My Sunshine" ahead of the Cobb-produced album Southern Family.

Featuring Chris' bluesy guitar work and Morgane on lead vocals, the childhood song suddenly feels heavier, as though the "sunshine" in question is only seconds away from leaving. Like the best music-minded couples, Chris and Morgane's vocals harmonize flawlessly, with her desperate pleas intertwining with his backing vocals like some sort of magic.

The passion in this song is palpable, executed in the country-meets-rock way that the Stapletons have perfected, thanks to Cobb's production help.

The Stapletons' cover of "You Are My Sunshine" is one of 12 songs set to appear on Cobb's Southern Family compilation album. Other featured artists include John Paul White (formerly of The Civil Wars), Jason Isbell, Zac Brown, Miranda Lambert, Brandy Clark and more. The album will be released on March 18.
